Mark McCracken is an award winning author, chef, teacher, coach and musician. Mark retired from the United States Coast Guard with twenty five years of service. He is an avid boater and outdoors-man. He grew up in Peoria, Illinois and has worked in various restaurants, country clubs, and catering companies where he learned his craft as a Chef. He lives in Spokane Valley, Washington with his wife, Kathy. They have 3 children: a son in the Navy, a daughter in college and a son in high school. Mark is an English and Social Studies teacher as well as a high school football coach and middle school baseball coach.
