This year was a pretty wild ride.
We have really had a lot of changes in the Boat show for this year.
This year will again be an 8 day show from Saturday the 28th to Saturday the 4th of February. (Reasons to come to the Spokane Boat Show)
With the closing of the Northwest game fishing show downtown we are very lucky to have quite a few of the Fishing guides and seminars coming to join us at the Spokane Boat Show. There will be seminars almost every hour of the eight days of the show. Be sure to check the list of presenters and seminars.
I would like to welcome Stancraft Marine they are the new Formula Boat Dealer they a located in Post Falls Idaho. Welcome Aboard.
Congratulations go out to Dan Conrath from Valley Marine he has purchased Skipper Bill’s former sales site of Sprague Avenue and we look forward to seeing him again this year.
Special Thanks to Steve and Linda Zwarg and all the Antique Classic Boat Society for all their help with the beautiful wooden boats in the back room.
Again this year we will have several Dock displays for sale at the show.
I had the luxury of meeting with Eric Staggs, a local firefighter who was kind enough to build us a tug boat for a coloring contest and name the tugboat contest. The tug will debut at the Spokane National Boat Show on January 29th. You will be able to pick up a coloring sheet at any of the local dealers in the show starting on January 20th 2011. It will be distributed in the Inlander magazine on the 20th also. Just follow the instructions and bring your sheet to the show and if yours is selected you will win a float tube from the Elephant Boys.
We also picked up and older little Hydroplane and had it refurbished by some of the vendors in the show. Mainly I need to thank Scott Kurtz from Contemporary Fiberglass. He is responsible for the paint and repair of the old boat. Also thanks to Mild Too Wild Upholstery for redoing the interior. Thanks to West Marine for some of the hardware on the boat as well. Stop by and take a look it is a work in progress but it is really something to see how they brought back an older boat with paint and interior.
As you can see there is a lot to see and do at this years Boat Show.
We would love to hear your comments and suggestions in regards to the Spokane National Boat Show.
Sincerely,
Scott Thompson
